#SalamSG Messaging | 1 Verse, 1 Day
It’s Monday.
A new week.
Back to work, back to school.
But today isn’t just any Monday, it’s Racial Harmony Day.
📖 Surah Al-Ḥujurāt (49:11)
"O you who believe! Let not a people ridicule another people — perhaps they may be better than them."
💭 This isn’t just about manners. It’s about Iman.
Because mocking someone’s race or background isn’t just tasteless, it’s FAITHLESS.
👤 The Prophet ﷺ declared:
"No Arab is superior to a non-Arab, nor is a non-Arab superior to an Arab... except by taqwa."
This is Islam.
If YOUR heart still carry racial jokes, slurs, or quiet biases… then it’s not just the tongue that needs cleansing.
📌 Remember:
Discrimination isn't funny — it's FOUL.
Weak Iman differentiate skin tone. Strong Iman sees souls.
If YOU judge by race, then YOU are rejecting the message of Rasulullah ﷺ.
💡 Today’s Reminder:
As we ride the public transport, sit in meetings, or walk school hallways...
Let’s reflect:
As Muslims living in a multi-racial, multi-faith society like Singapore, this is a responsibility.
Carry this verse not just in YOUR heart, but in YOUR home, office, chats, and social circles.
Let your every interaction with colleagues, classmates, employees, neighbours, regardless of faiths echo fairness, respect, and compassion.
